Daihatsu Charmant Community 3rd Gathering

On Sunday morning of January 3rd 2010, Daihatsu Charmant Community or DCC held the third gathering since this Charmant owners club was born on April 25th 2006. The gathering was held in Senayan, South Jakarta. I couldn't attend the gathering as i have been back in Lampung since last Christmas. If only The Dog finished the bodywork a week earlier, perhaps i would've been there.. *sigh*.

Anyway, more members attended the gathering compared to the last one which i managed to join. I can't tell you much about how the gathering went but i do have some pics of the gathering as they were shared in Facebook.

Very rarely you get to see so many Charmants in one shot..

Here are some, if not all, of the attendees.. First is our Chairman, Hadiyanto "Wantaw" Wanto's fully original Charmant (Daihatsu Chairman? lol). He changed the bumpers to the later version just recently. How he got them is beyond me..

Here's a familiar looking Charmer with its infamous headlights! This one belongs to the one and only Wahyu Devianto, our Vice-Chairman.

This slammed Charmant belongs to our Head of Membership and Club Development Section, Indra Pardjoko.

Here's Faisal Muhammad's green Charmer i featured earlier. He's a member of DCC's Membership and Club Development section under Indra's command. He fell in love so much with Wahyu's headlights, he copied the style..

Here's Juanda Lopulisa's ride, also a member of Membership and Club Development. He got an incident that same day. After the gathering, he went to a wedding reception and on the way home, his left roof water channel chrome strip came loose and fell off! I hope you find the replacement soon Juan!

This slick looking Charmant belongs to Budhi Wardhana. Me and him are members of DCC's Public Relations section, under Zulner Nouraddine's command, our Chairman's brother-in-law. This, i believe, was the fastest Charmant on the gathering, making low 17 seconds on a quarter mile. Budhi regularly attend drag races with this 4A-GE powered beast.

Next is Lasso Wibowo's. He's also a member of Public Relations section together with me and Budhi. Look at those 13x8 TRD rims.. Uber-SEXY..

Here's another angle to show you how wide those rims are.

Next comes Andri Taufik's white stallion.. He and Ruben Juliarto are DCC's representatives for Bandung, West Java and surrounding areas. He drove 2.5 hours just to attend this gathering. Now that's commitment!

Next is Rudi's blue daily-driven caravan with its oldies-but-goodies BBS rims..

Last comes Helmy D.S' Charmant. He's under DCC's Security and Permit Section.

Daihatsu Charmant Community is a small club with its total of 40+ members but we're doing our best to preserve one of the best cars ever made. Our goal for now is simple: solidify our brotherhood and keep Charmants running on the road for years to come. Seeing these gathering pics and attended one earlier last year, i am pretty sure that we're on the right track. Long live DCC!
